Auntie Mary’s Sour Creme Coffee Cake
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla
½ cup coarsely chopped walnuts
½ cup sugar
Place in a medium bowl, stir let sit
8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
- Beat eggs with butter, slowly add sugar
- In medium bowl mix dry ingredients
- Add the dry mixture into the eggs
- Stir in sour cream
- In a baking dish, pour half the batter
- Spread half of the nut mixture over batter
- Pour the rest of the batter on to the cake
- Top with remaining nut mixture
- Bake at 350 for 40 minutes
