Stuffed French Toast

about 2 tablespoons butter, softened (for pan)
1 very large loaf of challah bread
8 large eggs
3 cups whole milk
½ cup sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
couple pinches of salt
1 8-ounce package of cream cheese, softened
1 cup strawberry jam

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt

Slice bread thick, let dry out for at least 1 hour

Whip the cream cheese til soft, fold in jam

Butter the baking dish

Arrange half of the slices of bread in a single layer on the bottom of the baking dish, overlapping

Spread the cream cheese mixture over the bread

Slowly pour 1/2 of the egg + milk mixture over the layer of bread

Layer on the rest of the bread

Pour remaining egg + milk over top

Cover, leave set for at least 1 hour

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes
