Bourbon Apple Shots

2 large apples, Braeburn or Fuji
1 lemon
3 Tablespoons of sugar
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon either nutmeg or allspice
1 ounce bourbon
1 cup of cubed pound cake
Whip cream

  1. Peel and chop apples into tiny pieces
  2. Juice lemon, pour over apples
  3. Stir in sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg
  4. Stir in bourbon
  5. The longer it sets, the more the apples will absorb the flavors
  6. In a bowl, place cubes of pound cake
  7. Add a layer of caramel or peanut butter
  8. Add the apples
  9. Top with whip cream
