Anadama & Sprouts


Now that’s a sandwich! A long, long time ago, while living at the beach I explored many new tastes. The town had a bakery that made Anadama Bread. My adventurous side was all in favor of Dare to be Different, and this bread became my addiction for the summer.
There is a flour, corn meal combo that makes the texture light and hearty. The hint of molasses give it a unique flavor. A sandwich with Havarti Cheese, Sprouts, Shredded Carrots, and Avocado is perfect after a swim in the ocean.
Aah, then there’s that magical time of day, the sun rising – splashing colors into your soul. Sitting on the dunes, hot coffee in one hand, a slice of Anadama Bread covered with fresh blueberry jam in the other.
Go ahead, be adventuresome, this bread may become your new favorite, and sprouts – sprouts will a least make you giggle.
