What to do with that ole Ham Bone?
Many years ago, I met a young lady and her son playing at the park. Her little boy, full of mischief and laughter, charmed his way into my heart. While the kids climbed trees, took turns on the swing, and chased each other, she and I shared stories.

Being from Brazil, she taught me how to make this family dish. It is a hearty stew that you can use as a base for many meals. Add sausage, or pork chops, maybe veggies. Spice it up with jalapeno peppers. Zingy- use limes & greens, like turnip or collards.
