Festive Pinwheel Cookies


Permission to have cookies for breakfast – granted. This recipe lets you indulge, so make two batches, one for the morning rush of getting ready for the day, the other for your holiday cookie table.
My Auntie Betty always had a little something sweet tucked away for the company that would drop in. Being a tomboy, it seemed more fun to hang out with my older cousins in the garage and work on cars, than to play dolls with my sister and younger cousin. Aah, but when the tea kettle whistled…we all ran up to the porch to get a handful of cookies.
Two things I learned; How to change a tire on a truck. Family bonds over sharing sweet treats.
