Pumpkin Roll

Traditions and memories being passed around! Watching the Great Pumkin, Charlie Brown with all us kids in our jamies, snuggled under heaps of blankets was the kick off to food fest.
The adults would busy themselves in the kitchen, filling the house with the smell of cinnamon and spice. The cousins and we kids would finish off the last off the Halloween candy and tickle each other until the end of the movie.
Pumpkin Rolls were set in the freezer for the up coming holidays, and we got to lick the frosting off the beaters if we helped clean-up.

Here are the ingredients, the full recipe is under desserts ( not under the blankets! )

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (to sprinkle on towel)
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup pumpkin purée

1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
6 tablespoons butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
